Can an Oil Club save you money on your heating oil bill
Do you use oil for your heating or hot water?
If so you might benefit from looking to see if your local community has an Oil Club. Oil clubs look to obtain a discounted price for heating oil by getting in community orders and then negotiating a bulk price with local oil companies.
I wasn't aware of the Oil Club and mostly used Boiler Juice to obtain a price, then I would call round local dealers to get the best price. It worked sometimes but now I've found my local Oil Club they'll do that for me. What's even better there's no fee to join - win, win in my book.
As an example, I've just had my local Oil Clubs notification, which is 85p per litre ex-vat (almost double what I paid for my last tank full 😳), however compared to BoilerJuices 91p per litre (again ex-vat) it is a decent discount. Works out at about £30 saving on a 500 litre order.
Worth having a look to see if there's a local Oil Club near you if like me you're an oil user.
